Entry Requirements

For entry into the GD Psych program, you will need:

  • an Australian undergraduate degree (minimum Bachelor level) with minimum duration of 3 years full time OR higher university qualification (Graduate Diploma level or higher) that was completed within 10 years prior to commencement.

Students with an undergraduate degree completed longer than 10 years prior to commencement will be considered on a case by case basis and should email gdpsychology@unsw.edu.au to provide brief descriptions of their education background as well as further tertiary studies and/or employment history post-graduation.

  • Overseas qualifications may also be considered if equivalent to Australian standard bachelor degree or higher.

  • to meet the UNSW English language requirements applicable to psychology postgraduate programs.

Please note that meeting the entry requirements does not guarantee entry into the program as capacity in each intake is limited. Please consult with UNSW School of Psychology at gdpsychology@unsw.edu.au for more information.

The Graduate Diploma in Psychology program (5331) is delivered using non-standard teaching dates and course durations to allow for a more flexible program structure. The program’s key dates and some policies may be different to those applicable to students enrolled in standard UNSW programs using the standard academic calendar.

Students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Psychology should refer to the information on this website, the 5331 Guide book, and the online handbook.

Please contact gdpsychology@unsw.edu.au for any enquiries relating to this program..
