Changes to Psychology Offerings in 2012

In 2012, the following changes will occur to undergraduate Psychology offerings:

  • PSYC3001 Research Methods 3A, renamed Research Methods 3, will be offered in both semesters in 2012, after which it will be offered only once, in Semester 2, every year;
  • PSYC3011 Research Methods 3B will be replaced by PSYC3011 Research and Applications of Psychology, which will be offered in Semester 1; and
  • PSYC3351 Assessment, Personality and Psychopathology will be replaced by PSYC2101 Assessment, Personality and Psychopathology, which will be offered in Stage 2 as opposed to Stage 3.
The new program structure can be viewed via the UNSW Online Handbook at http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/2012/index.html.

The above changes primarily affect students commencing in 2012 and onwards. For existing students, the School of Psychology has put transitional arrangements in place, so their ability to complete a Psychology degree or major won’t be affected.
