Network charges policy Each computer connected to the school network incurs a network port charge of $200 per year and each gigabyte downloaded costs approximately $22. While the school pays the network port cost, it has set a monthly quota for data traffic. Anything past 1.5 gigabytes in a single month, on any machine you use or own, will be charged back to your accounts. Under this policy, when excess usage occurs, you will be charged for use above the free 1.5GB, rounded up to the nearest gigabyte (e.g., if you use 2GB in a month you will pay $22 not $44). Please note that internal traffic (websites within UNSW) does not account towards your usage quota. |
