This one day satellite meeting will be held at University of New South Wales and is co-sponsored by UNSW
Brain Sciences. The focus is on recent advances in understanding the neuroscience of fear and anxiety, including plasticity in amygdala neurons, studies of fear conditioning in rodents, ethological approaches to studying and assessing fear in animal models, fMRI studies of fear and clinical anxiety in humans, as well as translational research on treatment for anxiety disorders. The meeting will include a special lecture by Professor Michael Davis (Emory University), a leading international researcher in fear learning in humans and other animals, focussing on translational research in fear and anxiety.
