Congratulations to
Dr Alishia Williams who was selected for a 2009 Excellent PhD thesis In Psychology Award by the Science Academia and Research Advisory Group of the Australian Psychological Society. The award comes with a plaque, a check for $1000, and an invitation to give a talk at the 27th International Congress of Applied Psychology, which will be held in Melbourne from July 11-16 (this meeting incorporates the 45th annual meeting of the Australian Psychological Society). Alishia’s thesis was entitled “Experiential Features of Intrusive Memories in Depression and the Role of Cognitive Avoidance in Intrusion Maintenance”, and was supervised by
Associate Professor Michelle Moulds.
